# Permanently remove documents

Permanently and irreversibly removes one or more documents, bypassing soft-delete.

Request:
ids            - List of internal document IDs to permanently delete.
externalIds   - List of external IDs to permanently delete by (alternative to ids).

Response:
ids   - IDs of the documents that were successfully purged.
